Astro Coffee

Business profile: Astro Coffee is a small café located in the historic Corktown neighborhood of Detroit. Our menu features a variety of roasters and producers we are excited about, and changes constantly depending on seasonality and availability.

The coffee served at Astro comes from a rotating cast of roasters we love from around the country. These include, but are not limited to, Ritual Coffee Roasters (SF), George Howell Coffee (Acton, MA), Anthology Coffee (Detroit), Sightglass Coffee Roasters (SF), and Heart Roasters (Portland, OR).

We feature a small selection of baked goods and sandwiches made in house, using organic and natural products. We are proud to serve local produce from Brother Nature, ACRE Farms, Singing Tree Garden, Keep Growing Detroit and Grown In Detroit; dairy products from Calder Dairy (Carleton, MI); bread from Zingerman’s (Ann Arbor); and chocolate from Marou Faiseurs de Chocolat (Vietnam), François Pralus (Paris) and Askinosie (Springfield, MO). Limited tea offerings include Detroit-based Joseph Wesley Tea.
